The Academy specialises in Football Showcase Trials Days at professional football clubs for footballers aged 14-21. A chance to play in front of scouts and managers from Premiership through to non league club level.

Please note we use a 4-4-2 formation for the trials days so positions available are:

Goalkeeper - Right Back - Centre Back - Left Back - R Midfield - C Midfield - L Midfield - Forward

U'16's is for 14 & 15 year olds - U'18's is for 16-17 year olds - U'21's is for 18-21 year olds.

What Happens on the Day of the Trials?

On the day of the trials, the invited scouts, coaches and managers will be welcomed into our main reception and handed a booklet containing all the data that we hold on each player. You will be allocated a shirt number on arrival that you will retain for the duration of your trial which will be included in your profile to enable the managers to identify each player at the showcase game.

You will play in a 45 minute trial at a professional club giving the scouts and managers ample time to assess each player and enable them to make a decision as to whether they want to see more in the environment of their own clubs.

When you make a booking the Academy will confirm it and you will then receive all instructions, kick off times and directions 14 days prior to the Trials Day.

You will also be notified of what to bring on the day i.e. boots, shin pads, towels, drinks etc.

The success of the Academy has been founded on its ability to attract visiting scouts and managers to the Trial Days. We send out invitations to all Premiership, Football League and Non-League clubs throughout the UK. Many of them confirm their attendance and these are the ones we release on the website. But we have no control on who turns up on the day or which age groups they are interested in.

We know from experience there are sometimes good players on view that are overlooked or who do not fit into the category the particular scouts are looking for.

With that in mind the Academy operates with its own independent scouting panel. This consists of three former professional players and three premiership and football league club scouts whose position will be to recommend talented players of all ages to Premiership, Football League or Non-League clubs for further evaluation or trials.

We hope our scouting panel will improve the professionalism on the day and ensure no player, who they feel has the ability to play at a higher level, slips through the net.

After the trial, you are free to leave, however please be assured we will be in touch with you within 7 days should a club show interest in you from the day.
